Planned Maintenance where even the most thorough of programmes can be frustrated by unexpected events, breakages, severe weather and the inevitable results of criminal damage requires an all encompassing response service, that has experience and proven performance.
- The infrastructure and communication network developed by Arbourtech over the last decade owes much of its success to the extensive military logistics training that the management team received before entering the industry.
- The coordination of all the various scales and durations of fault rectification from emergency tree and fencing to signal obscuration and vandalisation requires a methodical and thorough process management.
- This role is undertaken 24/7 and utilises very well maintained (in house) modern equipment.
- Dedicated teams with multiple skill sets are capable of many different functions and are actively encouraged to develop innovative ideas to improve productivity and safety. If adopted their ideas are rewarded.
- One current project is the development of a GPS location system for work groups above ground which provides a continuous monitoring of their positions. The benefits to the Fault Manager of this real time data which is monitored on line, are significant. In the event of a redirection of resources being required the ability to locate, communicate and transmit job specifications to the appropriate team is expected to generate real cost savings and valuable control data.
- The reassurance that safety standards are being continuously met with a data trail to prove it also has a real value.
